The position

Viva is currently searching for an Alliances and Industry Affairs Lawyer. This role will be responsible for supporting the negotiation and legal formalization of strategic alliances with other airlines, including codeshare and interline agreements, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable aviation regulations and obtaining the required authorizations from regulatory bodies. It plays a key role in managing legal documentation, contracts, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen Viva’s industry positioning.

Key Priorities:

• Drafting, negotiating, and managing airline alliance contracts

• Coordination with regulatory bodies for legal authorizations

• Support in codeshare and interline agreement processes

• Legal risk analysis and compliance assurance

• Cross-functional collaboration with commercial, legal, and operational teams

Requirements and Experience:

• 3–6 years of legal experience, preferably in the aviation sector

• Bachelor’s degree in Law Postgraduate studies in Aviation, Corporate, or International Law preferred

• Experience in negotiating and managing international contracts 3+ years

• Understanding of aviation regulations and compliance processes 2+ years

• High level of English with legal vocabulary (bilingual)

• Experience working with government or regulatory entities Preferred

Technical Knowledge:

• Aviation law and industry agreements

• Contract drafting and negotiation

• Regulatory compliance in the aviation industry

• Legal risk management

• Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
