About the Role:

The Legal Assistant will play an essential role in preparing immigration filings and supporting documentation. This position emphasizes accuracy, communication, and organization, with a focus on form preparation, document review, and compiling supplements for immigration applications. Candidates should be passionate about client care and delivering high-quality legal support.

 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Contact clients in Spanish and English via telephone, email, and text to request documentation, complete intake questionnaires, fill out and review forms, keep clients appraised of the status of their cases, and other communications. 
  • Maintain ongoing follow-up with clients until a case is finalized. 
  • Ensure client information is accurate and up to date.
  • Cross-check imported data with client records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Categorize and compile evidence received from clients and country conditions evidence for submission to US government agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products (365 Suite, Outlook, Excel, and Sharepoint) and Adobe.
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field or equivalent experience in a legal, administrative, or document-intensive support role.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Highly detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Courteous, empathetic, and committed to providing excellent client service.
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and be available during business hours (8:30AM– 5:30PM EST).
  • Must have reliable transportation to timely arrive on location for work.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a legal support, administrative, or case management role (immigration-specific experience is a plus but not required).
  • Familiarity with legal software or case management systems (e.g., DocketWise, Clio, or similar).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
