The Security Coordinator oversees industrial safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, and occupational health and safety systems. This role coordinates efforts to ensure adherence to regulations such as Regulation 522-06 and Ministry of Labor requirements, supporting accident prevention and operational continuity. Experience with IPER risk assessment, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 is essential for managing safety protocols and emergency response plans. The position is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment through proactive risk mitigation and compliance monitoring. This role is also known as Industrial Safety Coordinator and Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator.
- Develop and implement industrial safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments using IPER methodology.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational safety legislation and regulations including Regulation 522-06.
- Manage and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
- Develop implement and coordinate emergency response and evacuation plans.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training to employees.
- Monitor and report on key safety performance indicators.
- Bachelor’s degree or final-year student in Administration Industrial Engineering Business or a related field.
- Two years of experience in industrial safety.
- Proficiency in IPER risk assessment.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Familiarity with Regulation 522-06 and Ministry of Labor regulations.
- Experience in developing and implementing emergency response and evacuation plans.
- Skills in accident investigation and reporting.
