Candidates must hold a professional degree in architecture, urbanism, urban design, urban and environmental studies, landscape architecture, or related disciplines and a Ph.D. in fields related to the design, modeling, and management of urban and territorial systems. Relevant topics of interest are urban and regional geography, urban and territorial planning and design, including landscape and environment, ecology, urban and environmental management, and socio-spatial studies. 

Applicants should demonstrate strong potential or proven experience in projects addressing urban and territorial challenges involving infrastructure, natural systems, and socio-spatial dynamics. Successful candidates must show the ability to integrate interdisciplinary approaches, such as territorial modeling, spatial analysis, data-informed decision-making, and collaborative methodologies, to understand and manage urban and territorial systems in contexts shaped by environmental change, risk, and inequality.

Its approach integrates science, design, and engineering to tackle challenges such as sustainable urban growth, infrastructure, transportation, housing, and land use, delivering solutions that enhance livability and support decision-making.
