Front-End Lead

Join Arrowfin to build a cutting-edge futures trading platform for active futures traders. We are looking for a Lead Front-End Engineer to own the client-side architecture of this high-stakes, real-time application.

You will be joining a dedicated, energetic, and young team of developers in our office in El Poblado. Your role is twofold: Build a lightning-fast, resilient trading interface, and lead the team to adopt engineering best practices and to mentor them into growing their skills. You will be the technical anchor, ensuring that while we move fast, we do not break things.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the front-end architecture and technical stack for the EdgeClearX (formerly called ArrowPoint) trading platform and related web UIs.

• Design and implement complex, real-time interfaces in React/TypeScript (DOM, Time & Sales, charts, order entry, dashboards).

• Act as a “player-coach”: spend most of your time coding while also mentoring other frontend developers.

• Establish and enforce frontend standards for component structure, state management, testing, and code review.

• Optimize real-time performance so high-frequency WebSocket data does not cause UI lag or instability.

• Work closely with backend, product, and BA/PM to translate business requirements into clear technical tasks.

• Help define onboarding materials and practices for new frontend engineers and participate in hiring and technical assessments. Ensure the technology stack is well-documented and the repos are maintained to best practices.

Requirements:

• B2 or higher English language proficiency is required.

• 5+ years of professional experience building web applications, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead front-end role.

• Strong expertise with React and TypeScript in production environments.

• Experience building or leading real-time, data-heavy UIs (trading, analytics dashboards, monitoring tools, etc.).

• Deep understanding of:

• Component-based architecture and composition

• State management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or similar store solutions)

• Integration with REST APIs; familiarity with WebSockets and streaming data

• Performance optimization (virtualized lists/tables, memoization, granular subscriptions)

• Demonstrated ability to:

• Mentor other developers and give effective code reviews

• Introduce and uphold frontend standards and patterns

• Communicate clearly with non-engineering stakeholders

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in fintech / trading / brokerage or other latency/accuracy-sensitive domains.

• Familiarity with parts of our backend/infra stack such as Java/Spring, Laravel, NestJS, Docker, and AWS ECS.

• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright.

• Experience helping grow a team from early stages including process, documentation, and hiring involvement.
