Finance & Accounting Manager

A leading multinational company is seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to join its leadership team in Bogotá, Colombia.This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, statutory reporting, tax compliance, treasury, internal controls, budgeting, and business financial planning while partnering with regional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall finance function for the Colombian operation.
• Oversee accounting processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and Colombian regulations.
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate financial reporting with regional and global finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage relationships with tax authorities and external auditors.
• Oversee treasury operations, cash flow planning, banking relationships, and foreign currency transactions.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and risk management processes.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the local finance team.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and finance transformation projects.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA certification or internationally recognized finance certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, etc.) are highly desirable.

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive finance experience.
• At least 5 years in leadership positions.
• Experience in multinational organizations is required.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, construction, or heavy equipment industries is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Colombian accounting and tax regulations.
• Advanced financial analysis and business planning capabilities.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and internal controls.

Languages

• Professional proficiency in Spanish.
• Advanced English (mandatory) with the ability to communicate effectively in meetings and prepare professional reports.
