Role Overview:

As a mid-to-senior QA Engineer, you’ll drive quality for our web platforms by creating automated and manual tests, engaging with alpha/beta users (20–100 traders), and collaborating with Dev, Design, and stakeholders. You’ll initially focus on critical end-to-end flows and grow into a QA lead who helps define our testing strategy as we scale to 1,000+ users.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test plans for key flows across EdgeClearX (web-based trading platform), EdgeWatch/Trade Analyzer (trading performance dashboard), and EdgeClear Catalyst (member portal).

• Build and maintain end-to-end automated test suites (Playwright/Cypress or similar) for critical user journeys (login, registration, dashboards, settings, trading flows).

• Perform manual and exploratory testing on user stories each sprint, documenting edge cases and regression risks.

• Log clear, reproducible defects in Jira and work with multiple dev teams to resolve them.

• Handle customer and alpha/beta user bug reports, reproduce issues, and turn them into test cases.

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and PMs in Agile ceremonies to align testing with product goals and releases.

• Contribute to evolving QA standards and, over time, help grow into a QA lead role (processes, coverage, and tooling).

Requirements:

• B2 or higher English language proficiency is required. You will be handling customer bug reports and responding to troubleshoot and recreate the issue.

• 3+ years of professional QA experience on web applications.

• 1+ year of end-to-end test automation with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.

• Ability to design clear test plans and test cases for complex, multi-step flows.

• Comfortable working with:

• React/TypeScript frontends

• REST APIs (and ideally WebSockets)

• Common QA tools (Jira, test case management tools, browser DevTools)

• Experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with traders, support, and dev teams.

• Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership over quality.

Note: familiarity with every technology in the stack is not required; we’re looking for someone comfortable testing modern web apps and able to learn the specifics.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience testing real-time systems (trading platforms, streaming dashboards, chat, etc.).

• Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions or similar) and integrating tests into pipelines.

• Mobile testing experience (Appium or similar).

• Security or performance testing exposure (OWASP, JMeter, k6, etc.).
