Join us as a Rebar Detailer and ensure technical accuracy and quality in the preparation of rebar placement drawings and reinforcement bar lists, providing reliable and comprehensive information that enables the Project Manager to plan, control costs, and facilitate the seamless execution of concrete works.

Responsibilities:

Drawing and Detailing:

• Prepare complete and clash-free drawings for the placement of reinforcement bars, including bending details, bar schedules, and splice diagrams for all concrete elements.
• Apply the latest codes, standards, and specifications (ACI, ASTM, CRSI, or regional), including tolerances, coatings, and lap splice standards.
• Coordinate the drawings with structural, architectural, MEP, and PT documents to resolve conflicts prior to submission.

Management of RFIs (Requests for Information)

• Identify missing, contradictory, or unclear information and draft concise RFIs for the Project Manager to submit to the client or engineer.
• Monitor open RFIs and incorporate responses into the updated drawings promptly.

Detailing and Weight Tracking Log

• Create and maintain an updated log comparing estimated versus detailed weights, including variations (% ±) and justification codes.
• Update the log within 24 hours of any drawing revision or rebar list release.
• Provide the Project Manager with weekly reports to monitor budget exposure and workshop workload.

Preparation and Submission of Bar Lists

• Generate precise bar lists including weight, diameter, shape codes, cut lengths, and package labels.
• Validate the lists against available stock lengths and plant production capacities.
• Submit final lists to the Project Manager in the ERP/import format required for the fabrication workshop to plan production.

Collaboration and Communication

• Hold daily and weekly meetings with the Project Manager to coordinate priorities, release sequences, and drawing delivery schedules.
• Report progress, potential issues, and the detailing impact on the project timeline.
• Participate in internal coordination meetings when technical expertise is required.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

• Conduct self-checks and peer reviews of all drawings, bar lists, and associated documentation.
• Ensure version control and traceability of revisions.
• Share lessons learned, template improvements, and automation ideas with the detailing team.

Requirements:

• Technician, Technologist, or Professional in Civil Engineering, Structural Drafting, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience in the field.
• Over 5 years of experience detailing reinforcement steel for commercial, industrial, bridge, or large-scale civil works projects.
• English level B2+ or C1.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and at least one reinforcing steel detailing platform (aSa CAD/CAD-REBAR, RebarCAD, Allplan, Tekla Structures, etc.).investigations of complaints and fraud.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination tools (Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D).
• Working knowledge of standards such as: ACI 318, CRSI Standard Practice Manual, ASTM A615/A706/A955 (or regional equivalents).
