We are seeking a Regional Controller to act as the foundational financial authority for the company in Colombia. This is not a “standard corporate” accounting role.

The Mandate:
We need an architect who can integrate into a high-velocity environment with more than + 1,000 employees, strengthen the accounting foundations, and prepare the organization for growth across Latin America. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will be responsible for the end-to-end integrity of our financial ecosystem. You will lead the transition from a “startup-style” accounting structure to a robust institutional model.

Mission of the Role

Build the foundation: optimize SAP implementation, refine and formalize internal controls, and ensure every piece of hardware is recorded with maximum accuracy.

Operate the accounting team efficiently: providing the VP of Finance and cross-functional teams (Operations, Technology, etc.) with reliable “ground truth” data to drive margins and enable regional expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Foundation building: Assess and redesign current accounting flows to support an organization of over +1,000 employees. Standardize the chart of accounts and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes for multinational scalability.

SAP ecosystem authority: Act as the functional lead for SAP. Ensure the ERP architecture accurately reflects the lifecycle of proprietary hardware and fiber network assets.

Inventory and infrastructure control: Implement rigorous controls over CAPEX and supply chain. Track assets under construction, WIP (Work in Progress), raw materials, and high-volume inventories—from international procurement through field installation.

Partnership with Technical Operations: Work closely with Operations leaders to drive efficiency. Validate unit installation costs, contractor payments, and equipment consumption, ensuring the financial health of network deployment.

Regulatory and tax leadership: Take full ownership of reporting to DIAN, regulatory bodies, and municipal obligations (ICA). Manage relationships with statutory auditors and external audits to ensure compliance with no findings.

Regional expansion readiness: Standardize accounting structures and intercompany protocols in Colombia that can be replicated across other Latin American markets.

Requirements

Experience: Over 15 years of experience in accounting and financial control. At least 8 years as a senior Controller in multinational companies with significant physical infrastructure (telecommunications, logistics, or utilities).

SAP expertise (mandatory): Expert-level proficiency in SAP modules, with experience managing complex supply chains and asset-intensive balance sheets.

Builder profile: Proven experience structuring accounting functions in fast-growing organizations or reorganizing complex financial environments.

Credentials: Certified Public Accountant with an active professional license.

Language: Native Spanish and advanced professional English.

Preferred Qualifications

Multinational consolidation: Hands-on experience with intercompany eliminations, transfer pricing, and consolidation under US GAAP.

Regional expansion: Experience supporting expansion processes across Latin America.
