AGENTIC SOFTWARE, INC. is a U.S.-based company specializing in AI-powered software that helps businesses modernize and automate their operations. We are expanding our development team to support a key client project.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ruby Developer to join us on a remote, contract basis. The ideal candidate will be a skilled engineer who is comfortable working on established systems and collaborating with a distributed team.

What You'll Do

• Design and architect scalable microservices and robust backend systems using Ruby and AWS.

• Work across the full stack, utilizing React to deliver high-quality features.

• Provide technical leadership, mentor other engineers, and drive code quality through reviews and best practices.

• Own end-to-end services from design to deployment, ensuring performance and stability.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define architecture patterns for distributed systems.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Ruby (Rails) and microservices architecture.

• Production experience with React or similar modern frontend frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS required) and containerization (Docker).

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions and mentor team members.

• Advanced English (B2 or equivalent) is required for effective communication with our distributed team.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with .NET.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-time Contractor (Long-term collaboration).

• Location: 100% Remote.

• Compensation: $25–$35 USD per hour, based on experience.

• Engagement: Full-time contract with the potential for long-term collaboration.
