The Opportunity

We are looking for a VP of Finance & Accounting to serve as our regional financial leader.

While we are scaling rapidly in Colombia, your mandate is to architect a financial engine

capable of expanding across Latin America. In a CapEx-heavy infrastructure business, your role

is the engine of our expansion. You will manage the financial lifecycle of a massive physical

rollout—procuring thousands of kilometers of fiber, managing high-tech hardware inventory, a

diverse labor force and optimizing the unit economics of a high-volume subscription model

across multiple jurisdictions. The opportunity to Leadership & Impact (The "Regional Architect")

As a Vice President, you hold the keys to our financial scalability. You will move between

high-level strategy and granular execution, building the systems, teams, and internal controls

that allow Somos to land and expand in new markets with speed and precision

You are a strategic "builder" who understands that in a scaling ISP, Cash is the Fuel and Unit

Economics are the Compass.

Core Requirements:

● Experience: 15+ years of Finance leadership. Deep background in Infrastructure-heavy

industries (Telecom, Energy, Datacenter or high-volume Hardware) is essential.

● Regional Expertise: Proven experience managing finance/accounting across multiple

Latin American countries.

● The "Unit Economics" Mindset: You live and breathe subscription metrics (ARPU, SAC,

Churn) and infrastructure metrics (CapEx efficiency).

● Bilingual Mastery: 100% fluency in Spanish and English.

● Technical Excellence: Deep knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and the nuances of

Capitalization of Network Costs.

What You’ll Do

● Regional Financial Leadership: Oversee all accounting, tax, and P&L management for

current and future LatAm entities (IFRS & US GAAP).

● Expansion Strategy & FP&A: Lead the high-stakes budgeting process for network

expansion. Partner with Operations/Engineering to track KPIs like: Cost per Home Passed,

Payback Period, and Churn-adjusted LTV across different markets.

● Cash & Capital Optimization: Lead working capital strategy, focusing on Inventory turns,

Accounts Payable (AP) strategies, and optimizing the cash conversion cycle to fuel LatAm

expansion.

● Local Treasury & FX Management: Manage Colombian cash positions and work with the

Global CFO on hedging strategies to mitigate the impact of COP/USD fluctuations on

supply chain costs.

● Infrastructure Supply Chain: Manage the financial side of our hardware "lab"—from the

components of our proprietary routers to the international procurement of IP Transit and

fiber optic cabling.

● Asset Management & Inventory: Implement rigorous controls for a business with

high-value physical assets (fiber and hardware) deployed across thousands of customer

homes.

● Process Architecture & AI: Consistently implement AI-driven tooling and automation to

gain deep business insights, automate high-volume billing, and drive operational
